Josh Abrahams

One of the most widely respected producers to emerge from Australia's underground dance scene, Josh Abrahams took a huge leap out of the underground with the release of his critically acclaimed "Sweet Distorted Holiday" album. The album boasted the massive 1998 'Addicted To Bass' single.

Josh Abrahams' previous list of credits had seen his involvement with FSOM win him an ARIA award in 1996, he had an album ("The Satyricon") released on Carl Cox's Worldwide Ultimatum Records throughout the UK and Europe which was named as one of the Top 20 albums of the year by MUZIK magazine. He also remixed TISM, Something For Kate and Rani, as well co-producing the worldwide smash "Everybody's Free To Wear Sunscreen" with Baz Lurhman as well as working on a couple of tracks for the Lurhman's "Something For Everybody" album. In 1999 'Everybody's Free To Wear Sunscreen' became the first Australian-made record to reach No.1 in England since Men At Work's 'Down Under'.

During 2000 the success of the partnership with Lurhman found Josh working with Baz on his latest film "Moulin Rouge". He then found time to again dedicate himself to his solo material, the first result which was the Nov single "Rollin'" - featuring the vocals of Diane Charlemagne (who's actively contributed to the work of a range of artists that include Urban Cookie Collective, Moby and Goldie).

Internationally his records have been released under the name of Puretone to avoid confusion with Josh Abraham, a music producer who has worked with Limp Bizkit and Staind.
