Search the database for a solo artist/band, musician or track
| Tips | If you're looking for a person in any category, search for their surname. For example, search for "Camilleri" or ""Camilleri, Joe" but NOT "Joe Camilleri". |
| If you're looking for a person, search using "Artist/Band" for a solo performer, or "Musician" for a band member. People can have distinct entries in both categories, so remember to search both. | |
| If you're looking for a band that starts with "The", try searching with and without the "The". | |
| If you find errors or have additions to suggest, please get in touch with Chris Spencer through one of the methods on the Contact us page. | |

Work on the Who's Who of Australian Rock database first began in 1984 on a pack of library cards. From there it has developed into 5 book editions and a CD-ROM edition. Over the past couple of years, the compiler has been looking at ways to put the database online, particularly with an intent to earn a modest income to keep the compiler out of the workforce so that he can concentrate on maintaining, researching, adding information and entries to the database. We welcome suggestions on how to improve the database, provide some ongoing economic assistance and trying to alert all musicians and artists listed in the database to check their entries and provide feedback to ensure the database is accurate and up to date. The compiler acknowledges that in today's technological age, keeping abreast of the myriad of bands putting out new recordings, that the database will flounder trying to keep up with the happenings of the music industry, and welcomes interest and support from artists to provide information about themselves. If you have information about any band, whether it recorded or not, and it is not listed in the database, please contact this website to provide details of the band. Some evidence of the band's existence, such as advertisements for gigs or live reviews may be required and would assist in making the compiler's task less onerous. Note that for a musician to be listed in the database a surname is requested so that cross referencing is enhanced. |
