Human Auto
Lo-fi / noise
/ folk. human auto music is primarily the work of south coast of NSW songwriter
/ producer Stephen p. Holmes and falls somewhere between most of your gaps.
Lyrically concerned with life in city and country, love, faith, lost bearings
and stolen moments, the songs are well traveled, studied accidents. Musically
think Crooked Fingers, Wilco, Paul Kelly or Hood, then let them slip your
mind. An ambitious point of reference might be that machine translations’
engine man J. Walker mixed and polished his self titled debut release, adding
his sonic signature. human auto takes you on a slow train from the comfort
of what you know to a more troubled, less derivative edge, and only sometimes
brings you back. Already billed with national ground breakers Adam Cole and
the Pollen Chior, Sounds like Sunset, Peregrin and Paul Greene, human auto
music puts the engineered next to the mis-spoken, the personal next to the
dissonant and waits for a resolution.
