From Wollongong, where they formed in 1966, this outfit were
previously known as The Finks until Dave Rossall, who'd been guitarist in a
British band called The Rockin' Vickers joined as a vocalist. They dressed in
clerical outfits, in keeping with their name, and held a residency in their
native town but also toured nationally. They played early Small Faces, Who and
Motown material. Bedford, Glaser, Hellyer, Rossall and Williamson were all later
in Tin Pan Alley.
