Tempest was formed by Michael in the Mid of 2002. Performing at functions and parties. With their first big calendar gig at Roofest 2003. Now Tempest have a DVD (released in November 2003) and a VHS video (released in December 2003). Expanding their music to incorporate a wide range of instruments and their traditional techniques. All three members continue to study their music and dance to continually evolve. Tempest aim to bring technique from diferent cultures together into their performance. The members of Tempest are: Michael - Doumbek, Djembey, Congas, Frame drums, bongos, Flute, Bell, Sits on a chair most of the time or on the floor. Brodie - Alto Saxaphone, Djembey, Doumbek, Frame drum, bell & Guitar, Fire Twirling. And one of Wollongong's most awsome dancers... Jenna-leigh - Belly dance zills & Doumbek. Tempests rhythms revolve around the Eastern (egypt, etc), African & Guinean cultures, together with Middle Eastern style of dance.
